As the EUI HEC heads towards its 50th anniversary, the department is seeking to work with colleagues to develop a research program that draws attention to the question: What is European History in the 21st Century? This first event is a brainstorming workshop with colleagues from the Chicago/Vienna Deglobalisation research program, invited collaborators, staff and researchers at the HEC.  Special guests include: Peter Becker (Universität Wien), Madeleine Herren-Oesch (Universität Basel), Dominique Reill (University of Miami), Tara Zahra (University of Chicago). Among the questions we will be broaching are: What is European history in the 21st in the wake of the call to provincialize Europe?
