After the publication by Peter Lang of the first volume of the South-East European History Series, Old and New Insights on the History of Intelligence and Diplomacy in the Balkans, which explores intelligence and diplomatic activities in the Balkan region, a new volume is being prepared by Balkan History Association. The Balkans have been at the center of great-power competition and strategic interests for centuries, not only as a link between the West and the Middle East, but also in terms of their natural resources.
