- decline of the post-WWII international order
- paradox of the 21st century: progressive individualization vs. revitalized tribalism
- from informed educated responsible citizens towards passive flat-Earth believers
- shifts in global geopolitics: from center/periphery towards and multi-polarity and multi-periphery
- post-colonial and/or neo-colonial: the view from below
- rise of AI and decline of human cognition?
- (re)definition of political actors: democracy, technocracy, elites, and supreme individuals
- elected leaders and decline of democracy
- state of emergency and/vs regular state of affairs
- science – religion – politics: let’s go from the scratch!
- social dynamics: modernization, post-modernization, or de-modernization

- PLUS: Submissions that focus on examples from, film, television, or documentaries as means of relaying theoretical content, insights, or messages will be welcome also, on any of the above or adjacent topics, including the option of presenters introducing, thematizing, referencing, or showing clips from relevant work(s), or their own work, e.g., a documentary as an occasion for related discussion.
