Centar za istraživanje i edukaciju o Holokaustu osuđuje agresiju Rusije na Ukrajinu i protivi se zloupotrebi sećanja na zločine Holokausta u cilju ratnohuškačke propagande i korišćenja pojma “denacifikacije” kao opravdanja za rat i prikazivanja Ukrajinskog naroda kao genocidnog u širenju govora mržnje protiv njega.
Podsećamo javnost da su građanke/i Ukrajine na demokratskim i slobodnim izborima, jasnom većinom izabrali predsednika svoje države, Volodimira Zelenskog, koji je jevrejskog porekla, i koji potiče iz porodice naučnika, crvenoarmejaca i žrtava Holokausta.
Ma kakvi da su bili problemi sa akterima antisemitizma u Ukrajini, oni se nisu mnogo razlikovali od sličnih organizacija prisutnih širom regije, pa i u Rusiji, i ne mogu služiti kao povod i izgovor za osvajački rat kojim se nastavlja pokušaj nasilnog revizionizma – menjanja istorije poništavanjem suverene volje građana susednih zemalja, negiranja njihovog nacionalnog, kulturnog, verskog i jezičkog identiteta, i na kraju, masovnim zločinima protiv civilnog stanovništva. Svi ovi metodi zajednički su punom spektru imperijalnih, kriminalnih politika, od nacionalistističkih, do otvoreno nacional-socijalističkih.
CIEH poziva na solidarnost sa žrtvama agresije na Ukrajinu, kao i izbeglicama i žrtvama svih ratova.

Center for Holocaust Research and Education condemns the Russian aggression on Ukraine and opposes the misuse of the memory of the Holocaust crimes for the war-mongering propaganda by using the term “de-Nazification” as a justification for war and presenting the people of Ukraine as an inherently “genocidal” in spreading the hate-speech against it.
We are reminding the public that the citizens of Ukraine have elected a president of their state in free and democratic elections with a clear majority and that president, Volodimir Zelensky, is Jewish, coming from a family of scientists, Red army veterans, and Holocaust victims.
Whatever the problems were with anti-Semitism in Ukraine, they were not much different from the rest of the region, including Russia, and cannot serve as a cause and an excuse for a conquering war which continues the attempt of violent revisionism – altering history by annulling the sovereign will of citizens of neighboring countries, denying their national, cultural, religious, and linguistic identity, and finally, committing the mass crimes against the civilian population. All of these methods are common to the full spectrum of imperialist and criminal policies, from nationalistic, all the way to openly National-socialist ones.
CHRE is calling for solidarity with the victims of the aggression on Ukraine, as well as with the refugees from all wars.
