Call for Papers – Hiperboreea: Vol. 8, No. 2 (December, 2021)

We are inviting submissions of articles and book reviews to be considered for publication in the next issue of Hiperboreea, which will be published in December 2021.

Hiperboreea is the official biannual journal of the Balkan History Association, being published by the Penn State University Press. It publishes articles in the field of History, written in English and occasionally French, and book reviews, or evaluations of scholarly conferences. Our focus is the study of Southeastern Europe, broadly defined as the states situated in the Balkan region. Without limiting its scope to a specific historical period or approach, the journal covers a wide range of topics, such as Cultural History, Political History, Military History, Social History, Economic History, and Archaeology, and encourages work on any historical period and with a multidisciplinary approach.
