Association for Croatian Studies

The Association for Croatian Studies is a non-profit scholarly organization with the purpose of promoting research on Croatia and its culture.

The Association for Croatian Studies was founded in 1977 as a non-profit to foster research and collaboration among scholars working in this area. ACS is an affiliate organization of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES).

Our mission is to organize panels at conventions devoted to Slavic and East European Studies and to support publishing on Croatian topics in humanities and social sciences through close collaboration with the Journal for Croatian Studies. More broadly, ACS’ goal is to serve as a hub for advancing knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Croatian culture and society in scholarly circles and beyond. Its membership is open to all with these interests.
