Festival povijesti “Rat ili mir” – kojim se obilježava stota obljetnica završetka Prvog svjetskog rata – održava se od 17. do 21. listopada 2018. u Berlinu i namijenjen je mladima od 18 do 30 godina koji imaju interes za povijest, sjećanje i pamćenje, mirovne studije i umjetnost. WAR OR PEACE. CROSSROADS OF HISTORY 1918/2018
17-21 OCTOBER 2018 / BERLIN
2018 marks the centenary of the end of the First World War. On the occasion of its remembrance, the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) and the Maxim Gorki Theatre Berlin invite international guests and artists to explore questions of “War or Peace?” throughout history.
From 17th to 21st October 2018, over 300 young international participants will be invited to Berlin to take part in the festivals’ Campus programme. Selected participants will take part in a three-day workshop, get to know interesting people from all over the world and engage in a rich and diverse festival programme. We are looking forward to invite more than 300 young professionals from Europe and beyond who are interested in investigating different notions, expectations and realities of war and peace. We call for people with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and identities who are eager to share their knowledge and ideas of remembrance and utopia.
If you are interested in the revelation and examination of historical contrasts and constructs, we want you to participate. The application is open for everyone aged 18-30 years with a strong interest or professional background in history education, remembrance work, public or urban history, peace and conflict studies, arts or related subjects.
If we aroused your interest, please consider the following before applying:
•Registration for taking part in the festival is only possible by filling out the online registration form.
•Registration is possible until June 30th, 2018.
•The registration does not guarantee participation. Participants will be selected based on the information they submitted.
•Applicants will be informed about the success of their application three months before the festival at the latest.
•Our festival language is English. Therefore, we can only consider applications written in proper English.
•To apply, you will have to provide personal and professional information about yourself, identification details, your preferred workshops and your genuine motivation for participation (maximum 1.500 characters).
•All information provided in the form has to be true and complete. Personal details have to be stated exactly as in your identification documents.
