Contesting Borders/Shifting Orders: Russia’s War of Aggression on Ukraine and Its Impact on Border-Making and Migration
GlocalEast Multiplier Event – Public event, 16.09.2022, 09:30am – 06:00pm
The war in Ukraine has far-reaching geopolitical, humanitarian and socio-cultural consequences – not only for Ukraine itself, but also for neighboring countries, other European states and the European Union itself. In this public event, we will ask what migration and border studies can contribute to understanding the war and its consequences, and how they should be designed to address the new social challenges, especially with regard to migration processes. The event includes contributions from scholars and civil society activists from Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Serbia, and Ukraine.
