The lecture deals with the emergence of design, as a concept and practice, in the specific context of socialist Croatia, and its development from mid-20th century onward. The focus is oriented towards the relation of design to economy and culture in the post-World War II reconstruction period, in a society that was deeply unbalanced in terms of economy and ideology, as well as design theory and practice.<\/p>\n
