Koriste\u0107i relevantnu literaturu, ali i sopstveno iskustvo sa vatrenim oru\u017ejem, Oster poku\u0161ava da uspostavi koliko-toliko logi\u010dan sociokulturni okvir za zlodela koja izmi\u010du svakom razumu. Tako\u0111e, na\u0161ao se i u naju\u017eem izboru za nagrade IMPAC Dablin za <em>Knjigu opsena<\/em>, Pen\/Fokner za prozu&nbsp;s romanom <em>Muzika slu\u010daja <\/em>i nagradu Edgar u kategoriji misterije i kriminalisti\u010dkih romana za <em>Grad od stakla<\/em>.
