ESJF<\/a> je u suradnji s Centrom za \u017eidovske studije i istra\u017eivanja Holokausta Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Zagrebu i Centrom za \u017eidovsku umjetnost Hebrejskog sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Jeruzalemu 11. prosinca 2025. odr\u017eao dan predavanja o o\u010duvanju \u017eidovskih groblja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Na otvaranju doga\u0111aja, sudionike su pozdravili Opher Dach, zamjenik veleposlanika Dr\u017eave Izrael  u Hrvatskoj; Domagoj Ton\u010dini\u0107, dekan Filozofskog fakulteta; i profesor Hrvoje Gra\u010danin, voditelj Centra za \u017eidovske studije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tijekom programa, sudionici su istra\u017eivali urbani i ruralni kontekst \u017eidovskih groblja u Hrvatskoj i stekli bitne vje\u0161tine za pregled \u017eidovskih groblja i \u010ditanje hebrejskih natpisa. Tako\u0111er su upoznati sa \u0161irom mre\u017eom \u017eidovskih groblja u Hrvatskoj i \u0161ire. Predavanja su odr\u017eali Anita Fiket, Alexandra Fishel i dr. Vladimir Levin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hrvatska je jedno od klju\u010dnih podru\u010dja fokusa za ESJF. Prije nekoliko godina provedeno je istra\u017eivanje svih poznatih \u017eidovskih groblja u Hrvatskoj, dokumentiraju\u0107i 84 lokacije. Od tada je ogra\u0111eno sedam ugro\u017eenih groblja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ovaj doga\u0111aj, kao i ogra\u0111ivanje svih \u017eidovskih groblja u Hrvatskoj, omogu\u0107en je uz podr\u0161ku Ausw\u00e4rtiges Amt (njema\u010dkog Saveznog ministarstva vanjskih poslova).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lecture day on the preservation of Jewish cemeteries was held by the ESJF in cooperation with the Chair for Jewish and Holocaust Studies at the University of Zagreb and the Center for Jewish Art at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, on December 11, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the opening of the event, participants were greeted by Opher Dach, Deputy Head of Mission (Embassy of the State of Israel to Croatia, Izrael u Hrvatskoj); Domagoj Ton\u010dini\u0107, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Professor Hrvoje Gra\u010danin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the programme, participants explored the urban and rural context of Jewish cemeteries in Croatia and gained essential skills for surveying Jewish burial sites and reading Hebrew inscriptions. They were also introduced to the wider network of Jewish graveyards in Croatia and beyond. The lectures were delivered by Anita Fiket, Alexandra Fishel, and Dr. Vladimir Levin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Croatia is one of the key focus areas for ESJF. A few years ago, we conducted a full survey of all known Jewish cemeteries in the country, documenting 84 sites. Since then, we have fenced seven of them, and our work continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event, as well as the fencing of all Jewish cemeteries in Croatia, was made possible with the support of the Ausw\u00e4rtiges Amt (German Federal Foreign Office).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
