The forthcoming volume, titled <strong>Movements<\/strong>, will examine the historical and contemporary dimensions of social, political, intellectual, cultural, and other forms of movements, with a particular emphasis on perspectives rooted in <strong>social philosophy<\/strong>. Scholars interested in contributing are invited to submit an abstract by <strong>31 December 2025<\/strong>. Submissions should be written in <strong>English<\/strong>, and if accepted, the full paper (max. <strong>8,000 words<\/strong>, including references) must follow the <strong>Harvard author\u2013date<\/strong> referencing system and will undergo <strong>double-blind peer review<\/strong>. We seek contributions that explore movements as forces of social change, catalysts of identity and value formation, or agents of philosophical, ideological, or political transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Suggested Topics (non-exhaustive)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Movements through the lens of social philosophy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intellectual and cultural movements in history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grassroots activism, collective action, and civil resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ideological movements and their philosophical foundations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital-era movements, online mobilization, and networked activism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Movements and identity, nationalism, religion, and globalization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methodological and theoretical approaches to studying movements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Interdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Types of Contributions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We welcome the submission of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Original Research Papers<\/strong><br>Manuscripts should present original scholarly research, offering new historical and theoretical insights, analytical interpretations, or empirically grounded findings relevant to the theme of movements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review Papers<\/strong><br>We also encourage the submission of review articles that synthesize existing literature, assess the state of research on a particular movement or theoretical approach, and provide critical and historical overviews useful to both specialists and a broader audience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Both types of contributions must meet the academic standards outlined in the submission guidelines and will be subject to <strong>peer review<\/strong>. The intended audience includes both academic and general readers, so contributions should be written in a<strong> clear and accessible style<\/strong> while maintaining scholarly rigor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student &amp; Early-Career Scholars\u2019 Section: Book Reviews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to regular contributions, this volume will include a dedicated <strong>Student and Doctoral Section<\/strong>. We invite <strong>MA students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers<\/strong> to submit <strong>book reviews<\/strong> of recent publications (published within the last 5\u20137 years) that relate to the theme of movements in philosophy, history, political theory, sociology, anthropology, or related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Book reviews should be <strong>1,500\u20132,500 words<\/strong>, follow the <strong>Harvard author\u2013date<\/strong> system, and provide a concise yet critical engagement with the chosen publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section aims to support the development of young scholars by encouraging engagement with contemporary research, improving academic writing skills, and strengthening participation in international scholarly dialogue.
