{"id":49443,"date":"2025-11-10T12:38:35","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T12:38:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/historiografija.hr\/?p=49443"},"modified":"2025-11-10T12:43:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T12:43:29","slug":"javno-priopcenje-centra-za-istrazivanje-holokausta-i-genocida-u-jugoistocnoj-europi-sveuciliste-u-rijeci-o-povijesnom-podrijetlu-pozdrava-za-dom-spremni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/historiografija.hr\/?p=49443","title":{"rendered":"Javno priop\u0107enje Centra za istra\u017eivanje holokausta i genocida u jugoisto\u010dnoj Europi (Sveu\u010dili\u0161te u Rijeci) o povijesnom podrijetlu pozdrava Za dom spremni"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kao odgovor na nedavne javne i pravne rasprave koje se odnose na upotrebu pozdrava Za dom spremni, Centar za istra\u017eivanje holokausta i genocida u jugoisto\u010dnoj Europi pri Sveu\u010dili\u0161tu u Rijeci izdaje sljede\u0107e stru\u010dno priop\u0107enje, utemeljeno na utvr\u0111enim povijesnim znanstvenim spoznajama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prema dostupnim povijesnim izvorima i znanstvenom konsenzusu hrvatskih i me\u0111unarodnih povjesni\u010dara, pozdrav Za dom spremni u upotrebu je uveo usta\u0161ki pokret te je postao slu\u017ebeni pozdrav Nezavisne Dr\u017eave Hrvatske (NDH) od njezina osnutka 1941. godine. Arhivska gra\u0111a iz razdoblja NDH pokazuje da se pozdrav koristio u vojnim zapovijedima, u administrativnim dokumentima i propagandi, gdje je imao funkciju slu\u017ebenog pozdrava oblikovanog po uzoru na fa\u0161isti\u010dke i nacisti\u010dke pozdrave sila Osovine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Postoje i dokazi da je usta\u0161ki pokret taj pozdrav po\u010deo koristiti po\u010detkom 1930-ih godina kao dio svog revolucionarno-simboli\u010dkog rje\u010dnika. Pod vodstvom Ante Paveli\u0107a pozdrav je formaliziran i populariziran kao sastavni dio identiteta re\u017eima NDH. Iako je to\u010dan datum njegove prve upotrebe i dalje predmet rasprave, najraniji vjerodostojni dokumentirani primjeri potje\u010du iz usta\u0161kog miljea 1930-ih godina, a ne iz dugotrajnije hrvatske tradicije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neki nedavni medijski istupi i neakademske publikacije sugeriraju da se pozdrav Za dom spremni mo\u017eda pojavio ranije, primjerice krajem 19. ili po\u010detkom 20. stolje\u0107a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Me\u0111utim, te tvrdnje nisu potkrijepljene provjerljivim arhivskim izvorima i nisu u skladu sa \u0161irim povijesnim istra\u017eivanjima. Do danas nije iznesen nijedan vjerodostojan dokaz koji bi promijenio znanstveni konsenzus o podrijetlu pozdrava iz razdoblja fa\u0161izma; cjelovita formulacija pozdrava potje\u010de iz ideolo\u0161kog i dr\u017eavno-institucionalnog okvira usta\u0161kog re\u017eima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S obzirom na ova saznanja, pozdrav Za dom spremni mora se razumjeti kao eksplicitno ideolo\u0161ki simbol usta\u0161kog re\u017eima NDH \u2013 dr\u017eave odgovorne za genocid nad \u017didovima, Srbima i Romima u NDH, kao i za masovne zlo\u010dine nad antifa\u0161isti\u010dkim, nepo\u0107udnim Hrvatima i drugim skupinama tijekom Drugoga svjetskog rata. \u010cak i kada bi se u izvorima koji su prethodili pojavi usta\u0161a ustanovile reference na pozdrav Za dom spremni, njegova sustavna upotreba od strane usta\u0161kog re\u017eima i njegova genocidnog aparata neizbrisivo ga je \u2013 bilo u punom ili skra\u0107enom obliku \u2013 povezala s hrvatskim fa\u0161izmom. Kasnije upotrebe usta\u0161kog pozdrava, naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e prepoznatljive upravo kroz izraz Za dom spremni, nisu mogle, niti mogu ukloniti tu povezanost; naprotiv, one neizbje\u017eno prizivaju zlo\u010dina\u010dko naslje\u0111e usta\u0161kog pokreta, bez obzira na namjeru onoga tko pozdrav koristi. Archival records from the NDH show the salute in military orders, administrative documents, and propaganda, functioning as a formal salute, modeled on the fascist and Nazi salutes of the Axis powers.<br>There is also evidence that the Usta\u0161a movement had begun using the salute in the early 1930s as part of its revolutionary-symbolic vocabulary. Under Ante Paveli\u0107, the salute was formalized and disseminated as part of the identity of the NDH regime. While the exact date of first use remains contested, the earliest credible documented instances date to the 1930s Usta\u0161a milieu, rather than to a longer-standing Croatian tradition.<br>Recent media appearances and non-academic publications have suggested that Za dom spremni may have appeared earlier, for example in late-19th or early-20th-century contexts. However, these claims remain unsupported by verifiable archival sources and are inconsistent with the broader historical literature. To date, no credible evidence has been produced that would alter the scholarly consensus regarding the salute\u2019s fascist-era origin; the full formulation of the salute originates within the Usta\u0161a regime\u2019s ideological and state-institutional framework.<br>Given these findings, the Za dom spremni salute must be understood as an explicitly ideological symbol of the NDH Usta\u0161a regime \u2013 a state responsible for genocide against NDH\u2019s Jews, Serbs and Roma, as well as mass crimes against anti-fascist and non-conformist Croats and others during the Second World War. Even if references to the Za dom spremni salute were to be found in pre-Usta\u0161a sources, its systematic use by the Usta\u0161a regime and its genocidal machinery has left the salute\u2014whether in full or partial form\u2014with an indelible association with Croatian fascism. Subsequent uses of the Usta\u0161a salute, most recognized today through the phrase Za dom spremni, could not and cannot remove this association; rather, they inevitably evoke the criminal legacy of the Usta\u0161a, regardless of the user\u2019s intent.
