The Centre for Southeast European Studies is looking for an University Assistant with doctorate
\n(40 hours a week; fixed-term employment from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019)<\/p>\n

Your duties
\n\u2022 Independent research
\n\u2022 Contribution to collaborative, third-party research (application, project management and realisation)
\n\u2022 Teaching and teaching support
\n\u2022 Student supervision<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Your profile
\n\u2022 PhD in the humanities or social sciences, preferably completed within the last three academic years
\n\u2022 Masters education in history, cultural studies, anthropology, comparative politics or international relations
\n\u2022 Excellent area studies knowledge of Turkey
\n\u2022 Experience or interest in the research field Muslims in Southeast Europe
\n\u2022 Experience or interest in the research field Diasporas and transnational networks
\n\u2022 Experience in comparative scholarly research (a background in quantitative methodologies is welcome, willingness to work with qualitative methods is required)
\n\u2022 Excellent command of Turkish and English, preferably also knowledge of an additional southeast European language
\n\u2022 Good record in academic publishing
\n\u2022 Good teaching record
\n\u2022 Innovative thinking and commitment to independent academic work
\n\u2022 Openness towards new research questions and methods
\n\u2022 Outstanding social skills and teamwork abilities
\n\u2022 Excellent communications- and management skills<\/p>\n
