U dobru i u zlu, Wagnerova je osobnost imala naj\u0161iri utjecaj u povijesti glazbe. Oko 1900. godine fenomen poznat kao wagnerizam preplavio je europsku i ameri\u010dku kulturu. A onda je Adolf Hitler inkorporirao Wagnera u\u00a0<em>soundtrack<\/em>\u00a0nacisti\u010dke Njema\u010dke i skladatelja se po\u010delo definirati prema njegovu divlja\u010dkom antisemitizmu. Za mnoge je njegovo ime danas gotovo sinonim za umjetni\u010dko zlo. Alex Ross raspetljava i golemu konfuziju koja nastaje kada se poku\u0161a shvatiti \u0161to zna\u010di biti wagnerijanac. Zli duhovi genija, lu\u0111aka, \u0161arlatana i proroka nadme\u0107u se nad Wagnerovom mnogostranom ostav\u0161tinom. Knjiga\u00a0<em>Wagnerizam<\/em>\u00a0nije niti apologija niti osuda, ve\u0107 rezultat strastvenog otkrivanja koje nas privla\u010di prema mnogo iskrenijoj ideji o tome kako se umjetnost pona\u0161a u svijetu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alex Ross<\/strong>&nbsp;glazbeni je kriti\u010dar The New Yorkera od 1996.
