A professor of oriental languages at the University in Graz, he delivered a translation according to his research, replacing the text not only in Southeast-European history, but also in a much wider perspective, merging classical, modern and oriental philology. One of the questions raised by his translation is how his close reading as a scholar of Sanskrit was orientalizing Njego\u0161.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniel Baric studied in Paris, Berlin and Budapest German, Slavic and Hungarian studies. Since 2018 he has been Associate professor in South-Slavic studies at Sorbonne Universit\u00e9.
