The scholarship is intended to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. Master&#8217;s programs), PhDs or one-year research stays at a state or state-funded higher education institution in Bavaria. The one-year scholarship can generally be extended twice for up to 3 years. The scholarship is paid out monthly \u20ac934 and amounts to \u20ac11.208 per year.
