The panel evaluates critically the opportunities the ICTY archives afford to researchers, along with ways in which latest research has illuminated the quest for justice and the recent history of the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meet our speaker, discussants and chair<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iva Vuku\u0161i\u0107 (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VukusicIva\">@VukusicIva<\/a>) is&nbsp;an Assistant Professor in International History at Utrecht University, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of War Studies, King&#8217;s College London.&nbsp;She&nbsp;is&nbsp;a historian and a genocide scholar, and&nbsp;her&nbsp;work is on irregular armed groups, genocide, mass violence and transitional justice, especially criminal accountability.&nbsp;Before coming to The Hague in 2009,&nbsp;she&nbsp;spent three years in Sarajevo, where&nbsp;she&nbsp;worked as a researcher and analyst at the Special Department for War Crimes at the Office of the Prosecutor.&nbsp;She is a frequent contributor in public debates and has been interviewed for the New York Times, the Guardian, Le Monde, Der Spiegel, de Volkskrant, the BBC, etc. Her first book&nbsp;<em>Serbian Paramilitaries and the Breakup of Yugoslavia: State Connections and Patterns of Violence<\/em>&nbsp;comes out&nbsp;in&nbsp;September&nbsp;2022 in the Contemporary Security Studies at Routledge.&nbsp;Iva is also one of three editors of the new CEU Press series \u201cPerpetrators of Organized Violence: Eastern, Central and South-Eastern Europe\u201d. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jasna Dragovi\u0107-Soso&nbsp;is Professor of International Politics and History at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is also Visiting Professor at LSEE. Professor Dragovi\u0107-Soso has published numerous scholarly articles and book chapters on intellectuals and dissent; nationalism, state dissolution and international intervention; and on processes of memory construction and transitional justice in the post-Yugoslav region.&nbsp;She has provided expertise on the post-Yugoslav region to various non-academic stakeholders, including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the International Commission on the Balkans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ivor Sokoli\u0107 (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IvorSoko\">@IvorSoko<\/a>)&nbsp;is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Hertfordshire and a Visiting Fellow at the European Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He contributes to the ERC funded project \u201cJustice Interactions and Peacebuilding:&nbsp;From Static to Dynamic Discourses across National, Ethnic, Gender and Age Groups\u201d, which examines transitional justice processes across the former Yugoslavia. He holds a PhD from the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies and an MSc and BSc in European Politics from the Department of International Politics at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. In 2019, Ivor published a book based on his research on Croatia, titled&nbsp;<em>International Courts and Mass Atrocity: Narratives of War and&nbsp;Justice in Croatia&nbsp;<\/em>(Palgrave MacMillan). He has published articles in&nbsp;<em>Cooperation &amp; Conflict,<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Nations &amp; Nationalism, Nationalities Papers, S\u00fcdosteuropa<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>The Croatian Political Science Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denisa Kostovicova is Associate Professor of Global Politics at the European Institute at LSE. She is a scholar of conflict and post-conflict processes, with a particular interest in post-conflict transitional justice and accountability for human rights violations. She is the author of\u00a0<em>Kosovo: The Politics of Identity and Space<\/em>, and of\u00a0<em>Reconciliation by Stealth: How People Talk About War Crimes<\/em>\u00a0(forthcoming).
