(Spring Semester 2023)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the difficult situation worldwide, the Institute of History, University of Hradec Kralove, is offering a visiting professorship position in History for the Spring of 2023. As a part of this successful program running from 2015, we offer a wide range of scholars a unique teaching, research and study opportunity at our institute in the heart of Central Europe. As we strive to internationalize our academic community as well as present the same experience to our students, we are pleased to invite outstanding experts from abroad to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The expected length of the professorship is five months (February 2023 to June 2023). It involves teaching two courses (13 ninety-minute classes each) on topics of your choice and based on your field of expertise and offering individual consultations over the length of the semester to our students, allowing them to experience a unique one-time opportunity. Besides teaching, publishing at least one scholarly article is required, either in an academic journal indexed in Web of Science or SCOPUS databases, or in a chapter in a collection of essays published with a renowned publisher. The publication is to be affiliated to our institute and dedicated to the Visiting Professorship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the terms of the program, travel costs to and fro are covered, in addition to a monthly pay of 1,700 EUR (before taxes). We also offer help with finding appropriate accommodation in Hradec Kralove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PANDEMIC DISCLAIMER: In case the pandemic situation in Czech Republic does not allow in-person contact with the students, the teaching will be done online (via MS Teams and other channels). If it is impossible to travel or the situation is otherwise difficult, this may be done from your home location (in that case, the monthly pay is deduced by the approximate price of accommodation, to 1,150 EUR (before taxes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
