Jahrhunderts \/ The role of the nation in history writing in the 21st century"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Die letzten Jahre sahen das Wiederaufleben der Debatte um die Rolle der Nation in der Geschichtsschreibung. Dieses H-Soz-Kult Diskussionsforum will daher der Frage nachgehen, wie Nation in den Geschichtswissenschaften im 21. Jahrhundert im internationalen Vergleich thematisiert wird, ob das Thema (wieder) an Bedeutung gewonnen hat und welche Rolle die Nation in \u00f6ffentlichen und (geschichts)politischen Diskursen spielt. Die Beitr\u00e4ge des Forums wollen damit zum Nachdenken \u00fcber Nation als analytische Kategorie versus als politischen Kampbegriff anregen, \u00fcber das Wechselspiel von Nationalismus und Globalisierung und die Herausforderungen, die sich hieraus f\u00fcr die aktuelle Historiographie ergeben. Um die globale Dimension des Themas zu zeigen stellt das Forum daher Fallbeispiele aus verschiedenen Regionen vor: dem arabischen Raum (\u00c4gypten, Irak, Marokko), den Amerikas (Argentinien, Brasilien, Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika), aus Asien (China, Japan, Pakistan, Vietnam) und Europa (Belgien, Deutschland, Estland, Polen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bislang sind die folgenden Beitr\u00e4ge im Rahmen des von Maria Framke (Universit\u00e4t Erfurt) und Andreas Wei\u00df (Helmut-Schmidt-Universit\u00e4 Hamburg) herausgegebenen Diskussionsforums erschienen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maria Framke \/ Andreas Wei\u00df: Zur Rolle der Nation in der Geschichtsschreibung des 21.
