How and under which conditions was research and teaching on the History of Southeastern Europe implemented? Which thematic focuses, theoretical-methodological approaches as well as didactic considerations have been guiding the production and transfer of knowledge? And how did this influence the understanding of Southeastern European history in general? In the Brown Bag Seminar, Elisa Satjukow will reflect on the history and future of Southeast European Studies by combining theoretical approaches from Higher Education Studies with a postcolonial reading of East and Southeast European History.

Join Zoom Meeting

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88408941379?pwd=S2VpcDc2bm9Bc2NVTktEcGhLYUFiQT09

Meeting ID: 884 0894 1379

Passcode: 7fJuVb

22.06.2021 13:00 – 14:00

Zentrum für Südosteuropastudien & SOEGA

https://suedosteuropa.uni-graz.at/de/veranstaltungen/detail/article/brownbag-teaching-southeastern-europe-knowledge-production-and-knowledge-transfer-in-the-german-speaking-academic-field/

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3

post-26707","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-novosti
Through the lens of the Balkan nations, this volume makes a valuable and significant contribution to the fields of European and Southeast European studies by reconsidering the East/West dichotomy – both in terms of the Orient–Occident divide and the Eastern–Western Europe binary.
