The history of the more than 20 last years has been a history of such attempts, of their success and of the resistance against them. Reforming higher education according to the neoliberal dogma has always been a high priority. In this lecture the focus will be on the current and on-going attempt with a special emphasis on the way this attempt meets the neoliberal vision challenging equality, inclusion and academic freedom.

Dimitra Mareta holds a PhD in Political Science from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She currently teaches at Political Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she is also a post-doc researcher and she was a Visiting Research Fellow in Political Science at the University of Peloponnese for the academic year 2018-2019. Her research and teaching interests include state theory and theory of sovereignty, counterrevolution, Greek politics, right-wing politics, liberalism and neoliberalism. She has published academic articles on state, sovereignty and liberalism and has participated in national and international conferences.

01.06.2021 13:00 – 14:00

Zentrum für Südosteuropastudien, SOEGA

Join Zoom Meeting

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88408941379?pwd=S2VpcDc2bm9Bc2NVTktEcGhLYUFiQT09

Meeting ID: 884 0894 1379

Passcode: 7fJuVb

https://suedosteuropa.uni-graz.at/de/veranstaltungen/detail/article/brownbag-the-neoliberal-transformation-of-higher-education-in-greece/

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3

post-26451","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-novosti
https://i0.wp.com/historiografija.hr/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/csm_BB_Dimitra_Mareta.jpg?fit=800%2C533&ssl=1
Jonathan G.
