For the purposes of this presentation, the focus will be on Osijek, Eastern Slavonia and Baranja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christian Axboe Nielsen is an Associate Professor of History and Human Security at Aarhus University in Denmark.\u00a0 He received his Ph.D. in Eastern European history with distinction from Columbia University in 2002, and also holds a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University\u2019s School of International and Public Affairs.\u00a0 His books include <em>Making Yugoslavs: Identity in King Aleksandar\u2019s Yugoslavia<\/em> (University of Toronto Press, 2014) and <em>Yugoslavia and Political Assassinations: The History and Legacy of Tito\u2019s Campaign Against the \u00c9migr\u00e9s<\/em> (Bloomsbury\/I.B.
