What are implications of the expropriation and erasure of women\u2019s international thought? What does the recovery, reconstruction, and analysis of women\u2019s international thinking mean for intellectual and disciplinary history and international theory?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This interdisciplinary conference brings together junior and senior scholars to further the work of writing women back into histories of international thought. We invite conference papers on topics including the processes of women\u2019s erasure from international intellectual and disciplinary history; women\u2019s international thought from around the world and as it intersects with multiple globalities; theoretical and methodological questions around the category of \u201cwomen\u201d, as well as sexuality, gender, racialization, class, and national position; studies of individual thinkers, or groups of thinkers, and their status or non-status as \u201ccanonical\u201d; feminist theory and women\u2019s international intellectual history; and different genres, sites, contexts and professional locations of women\u2019s international thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We assume that the conference will be held in person and will begin with an evening Reception on May 6, 2022 to mark the opening of the WHIT Project\u2019s Public Exhibition on Women\u2019s International Thought, hosted at the LSE Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can offer one night accommodation and up to \u00a3100 toward travel expenses for ten paper presenters and up to \u00a350 towards travel expenses for ten graduate student attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
