Why was the Greek Revolution an explicitly Christian undertaking that produced an exclusively Christian state? (It relates to the imperial experiences of the soon-to-be Greeks.) What in the end was the main goal and achievement of the Revolution? (It was not liberty as we understand it.) Why did the European powers oppose and then accept this revolution, having quashed revolutions in other Mediterranean lands? (It has a lot to do with the Congress system, the Holy Alliance, and especially Russia.)
