U Njema\u010dkom povijesnom muzeju u Berlinu odr\u017eava se od 27. o\u017eujka do 18. listopada 2020. godine izlo\u017eba \u201cHannah Arendt i 20. stolje\u0107e\u201d koja nam mo\u017ee biti zanimljiva ne samo zbog Hanne Arendt nego i kao poticaj za sli\u010dne tematske izlo\u017ebe o intelektualcima i intelektualkama te grupama intelektualaca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hannah Arendt and the Twentieth Century<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The twentieth century simply cannot be understood without Hannah Arendt, wrote the author Amos Elon. Arendt significantly influenced two concepts that are essential for the understanding of the twentieth century: \u201ctotalitarianism\u201d and the \u201cbanality of evil\u201d. Arendt\u2019s insights were rarely left unchallenged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition \u201cHannah Arendt and the Twentieth Century\u201d aims to trace Arendt\u2019s observations on contemporary history and introduce to the public a life and work that mirrors the history of the twentieth century: totalitarianism, anti-Semitism, the situation of refugees, the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem, the political system and the racial segregation in the U. S., the student movement and feminism. Arendt frequently expressed her views on current events as a public intellectual, often sparking fierce controversy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the exhibition will show this diagnostic appraisal makes the question of the power of judgement particularly urgent today against the backdrop of pluralization, the accelerated change in values and growing populism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das 20. Jahrhundert sei ohne Hannah Arendt gar nicht zu verstehen, meinte der Schriftsteller Amos Elon. Arendt pr\u00e4gte ma\u00dfgeblich zwei f\u00fcr die Beschreibung dieses Jahrhunderts zentrale Begriffe: \u201eTotale Herrschaft\u201c und \u201eBanalit\u00e4t des B\u00f6sen\u201c. Dabei blieben ihre Urteile selten unwidersprochen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Ausstellung \u201eHannah Arendt und das 20. Jahrhundert\u201c erm\u00f6glicht es, einem subjektiven Blick auf das 20. Jahrhundert zu folgen und ein Leben \u2013 und Werk \u2013 kennenzulernen, in dem sich die Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts spiegelt: Totalitarismus, Antisemitismus, die Lage von Fl\u00fcchtlingen, der Eichmann-Prozess, der Zionismus, das politische System und die Rassentrennung in den USA, Studentenproteste und Feminismus. Zu all diesen Themen \u00e4u\u00dferte Arendt dezidierte Meinungen und Urteile, die noch heute voller Sprengkraft sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angesichts einer wachsenden Pluralisierung unserer Lebenswelten, eines beschleunigten Wertewandels und eines darauf reagierenden Bed\u00fcrfnisses nach populistischen L\u00f6sungen nimmt die Ausstellung die Ausbildung der Urteilskraft in den Blick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
