Ve\u0107 po naslovu vidljiv je \u017eanrovski smje\u0161taj u teoriju i filozofiju historije. Munslowov je pristup poststrukturalisti\u010dki, a on koristi i odrednice <i>dekonstruktivizma<\/i> i <i>multiskepti\u010dnog histori\u010dara<\/i>. Zna\u010dajno se, i uglavnom afirmativno, referira na suvremene teoreti\u010dare i prakti\u010dare poststrukturalisti\u010dke historije, kao \u0161to su Hayden White, Keith Jenkins, Robert A. Rosenstone, Sande Cohen i Frank R. Ankersmit.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Ontolo\u0161ka pozicija povijesti i historije sredi\u0161nje je pitanje koje zaokuplja Munslowa. Zagovara shva\u0107anje da je ljudima u sada\u0161njosti pro\u0161lost u bitnom nedostupna, nedohvatljiva, pa su svaka historija (kao postupak) ili povijest (kao produkt) nu\u017eno konstrukcije histori\u010dara\/ki. Na razini najjednostavnijih informacija mogu se spoznati neke \u010dinjenice o pro\u0161lim doga\u0111ajima, procesima i osobama, no op\u0161irniji iskazi samo su jedna od mogu\u0107ih interpretacija. Oni nastaju i dobivaju neko zna\u010denje putem postupaka, koncepata i pretpostavki koje primjenjuje histori\u010dar\/ka. Za Munslowa ne postoji \u201epovijesna istina\u201c koju bi bilo mogu\u0107e otkriti, ili jedno inherentno, \u201eispravno\u201c tuma\u010denje pro\u0161losti, nego samo vi\u0161e ili manje opravdana vjerovanja i vjerojatnosti.<\/font><a name=\"_ednref2\" title=\"\" style=\"mso-endnote-id: edn2;\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Branimir\/Desktop\/Osvrt-Pajtak\/P-Pajtak-osvrt-za-web.doc#_edn2\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-language: HR; mso-ansi-language: HR; mso-font-kerning: .5pt; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><font >[ii]<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/a><font > Po svom obliku, historija je vrsta literarne tvorevine (temeljena na \u010dinjenicama), narativni diskurs. Budu\u0107i da nastaje u sada\u0161njosti, radom pozicioniranih histori\u010dara\/ki, povijest je njome oblikovana; vlastite sustave tuma\u010denja, pretpostavke, motive i eti\u010dke vrijednosti projiciramo u pro\u0161lost, stoga od pro\u0161losti ili povijesti nije mogu\u0107e \u201eu\u010diti\u201c (posebno ne potpuno neovisne ili objektivne pouke). Sukladno tome, Munslow smatra da je mogu\u0107e pristupiti pro\u0161losti, ali ne njezinim \u201eo\u017eivljavanjem\u201c, ve\u0107 jedino kao subjektivno iskustvo (koje pro\u017eivljava netko u sada\u0161njosti), nastalo posredstvom ostataka pro\u0161losti ili raznih vrsta historijskih narativa.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Munslow kritizira postavke tradicionalnih histori\u010dara\/ki, odnosno i danas dominantnog empirijsko-analiti\u010dko-reprezentacionalisti\u010dkog pristupa. Tako on ne priznaje njihove tvrdnje o postojanju i dostupnosti <i>zna\u010denja<\/i> u pro\u0161losti samoj, o me\u0111usobnoj zamjenjivosti <i>pro\u0161losti<\/i> i <i>povijesti<\/i>, o jeziku kao preciznoj reprodukciji (pro\u0161le) stvarnosti, o objektivnosti historije, o tradicionalnoj metodologiji historijske znanosti kao jedinoj ispravnoj, uz ignoriranje narativne prirode historije. Prema Munslowu, \u010dak ako su i prihvatili\/e neke teoretske inovacije u historijskoj znanosti (poput neizbje\u017enosti pozicioniranosti autora\/ice ili kori\u0161tenja narativnih tehnika, mogu\u0107nosti postojanja vi\u0161e obja\u0161njenja ili tuma\u010denja nekih \u010dinjenica), tradicionalni\/e histori\u010dari\/ke i dalje skrivaju svoje autorstvo nad povije\u0161\u0107u te vjeruju da su njihov narativ i metode najvjerojatniji i najto\u010dniji, najbli\u017ei otkrivanju \u201eprave istine\u201c o pro\u0161losti.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Primarni cilj Munslowove (multi)skepti\u010dne kritike nije ukidanje (metod\u0101) tradicionalne historije, nego postizanje transparentnosti i (auto)refleksivnosti. Tradicionalni\/e histori\u010dari\/ke trebali\/e bi prihvatiti da postoje i drugi legitimni na\u010dini bavljenja historijom te preispitati svoje pretpostavke, posebno kako se i za\u0161to uspostavljaju veze pro\u0161losti i povijesti. To bi doprinijelo, osim \u010dvr\u0161\u0107oj teorijskoj utemeljenosti tradicionalne historijske znanosti, smanjivanju nesporazuma i neproduktivnih sukoba oko razli\u010ditih interpretacija povijesti, pluralizmu historijske produkcije, ve\u0107em oprezu i odgovornosti pri kori\u0161tenju povijesti.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Op\u0107enito govore\u0107i, sla\u017eem se s autorovim pogledom na b\u00eet povijesti i kritikom ekstremnih pretpostavki tradicionalnih histori\u010dara\/ki.<\/font><a name=\"_ednref3\" title=\"\" style=\"mso-endnote-id: edn3;\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Branimir\/Desktop\/Osvrt-Pajtak\/P-Pajtak-osvrt-za-web.doc#_edn3\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-language: HR; mso-ansi-language: HR; mso-font-kerning: .5pt; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><font >[iii]<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/a><font > Njegova su razmatranja dostatno obrazlo\u017eena i potkrijepljena, s osloncem na etablirane koncepte u filozofiji (historije). S druge strane, principi tradicionalne historije u svom su klasi\u010dnom obliku toliko temeljito osporavani da je ve\u0107ina suvremenih histori\u010dara\/ki prihvatila (barem u teoriji) neizbje\u017enost korekcija nastalih na temelju uvid\u0101 poststrukturalizma.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Upravo iz toga proizlazi i moja najve\u0107a zamjerka Munslowovoj karakterizaciji \u201etradicionalnih histori\u010dara\/ki\u201c. Njegov je ton o\u0161tar, ponekad i pejorativan, ali ostaje nejasno tko su ti\/e histori\u010dari\/ke, ili u kolikoj mjeri zauzimaju stavove koji im se pripisuju. Tom dojmu doprinosi i struktura knjige, pri \u010demu autor \u010desto polemizira s prete\u010dama tradicionalnih histori\u010dara\/ki, po\u010dev\u0161i od 18., a posebno u 19. stolje\u0107u. I sam navodi da su neka od tih shva\u0107anja zastarjela, no ipak pronalazi njihove, barem implicitne i ubla\u017eene, ostatke kod suvremenih histori\u010dara\/ki.<\/font><a name=\"_ednref4\" title=\"\" style=\"mso-endnote-id: edn4;\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Branimir\/Desktop\/Osvrt-Pajtak\/P-Pajtak-osvrt-za-web.doc#_edn4\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-language: HR; mso-ansi-language: HR; mso-font-kerning: .5pt; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><font >[iv]<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/a><font > <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Ovdje se javlja i problem implicitnog\/eksplicitnog odnosa teorije i prakse, odnosno prakti\u010dnog realizma. U kojoj su mjeri histori\u010dari\/ke svjesni\/e problema na koje upu\u0107uje poststrukturalizam, ali ih, iz raznih razloga, odabiru vi\u0161e-manje ignorirati u svom uobi\u010dajenom radu?<\/font><a name=\"_ednref5\" title=\"\" style=\"mso-endnote-id: edn5;\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/Branimir\/Desktop\/Osvrt-Pajtak\/P-Pajtak-osvrt-za-web.doc#_edn5\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-language: HR; mso-ansi-language: HR; mso-font-kerning: .5pt; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><font >[v]<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/a><font > Naravno, Munslow bi mogao komentirati da takva svijest ne zna\u010di mnogo ako nije pra\u0107ena odrazom u praksi, u najmanju ruku na simboli\u010dkoj ili deklarativnoj razini. Doista, primje\u0107uje da histori\u010dari\/ke imaju interesa u odr\u017eavanju trenutnog sustava koji daje prednost odre\u0111enoj metodologiji, jer odr\u017eavanje iluzije \u201epovijesne istine\u201c daje mo\u0107 onome tko je posjeduje (ili tvrdi da je mo\u017ee posjedovati). Ne manje va\u017eno, jasne kategorije i metanarativi te dojam svrhovitosti i \u201ezna\u010denja\u201c pru\u017eaju psiholo\u0161ki osje\u0107aj sigurnosti, za razliku od pluralizma, nedeterminizma i relativizma postmodernizma. Stoga popularnost tradicionalne historije nije iznena\u0111uju\u0107a.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Odgovaraju\u0107i (potencijalnim) kriti\u010darima\/kama, Munslow poja\u0161njava da njegov pristup nije radikalno relativisti\u010dki, da narativno-diskurzivna b\u00eet povijesti\/historije ne zna\u010di nu\u017eno da su histori\u010dari\/ke intelektualno, politi\u010dki ili moralno kompromitirani ni da je sva povijest empirijski neto\u010dna, zlouporabljena ili izmi\u0161ljena. Neke principe tradicionalne historije smatra dobrim idealima; upravo stoga njemu je va\u017eno procjenjivati njihov (ne)uspjeh, radi stalnih pobolj\u0161anja i omogu\u0107avanja novih razmi\u0161ljanja o pro\u0161losti.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Ipak, konkretni zahtjevi od tradicionalnih histori\u010dara\/ki i doseg djelovanja prili\u010dno su nedore\u010deni. Ostaje dojam da Munslow tra\u017ei prvenstveno simboli\u010dko prokazivanje zabluda i priznanje validnosti ostalih oblika historije. Me\u0111utim, nisam sigurna koliko su zahtjevi za ve\u0107om podr\u0161kom uvjerljivo zna\u010dajni, u dru\u0161tvenom kontekstu gdje ve\u0107 postoje alternativni na\u010dini bavljenja pro\u0161lo\u0161\u0107u (akademski, umjetni\u010dki, amaterski ili komercijalni). Uz to, eventualno inzistiranje na napu\u0161tanju tradicionalne historije ne bi bilo u skladu s na\u010delom pluralizma.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Sam Alun Munslow mogao bi se smatrati uspje\u0161nim primjerom primjene poststrukturalisti\u010dkog pristupa u historiji. Uz brojne \u010dlanke i knjige, od 1997. godine jedan je od osniva\u010da i urednika znanstvenog \u010dasopisa <i>Rethinking History: The Journal of Theory and Practice<\/i>, koji je usredoto\u010den upravo na odmak od tradicionalnog te na teorijsko-metodolo\u0161ko promi\u0161ljanje i inovacije u historiji. I ova analizirana knjiga odli\u010dan je prikaz autorefleksivnosti. Autor poziva \u010ditatelja na dekonstrukciju vlastitog teksta, ukazuje na mehanizme stvaranja i namjeru svog narativa, svoje osobne inklinacije, ograni\u010denja jezika i vlastitih interpretacija. Zanimljivi su i epigrami preuzeti na po\u010detku svakog poglavlja, \u010diji obrat uvijek upozorava da je izgled varljiv, pa upu\u0107uju na fiktivnost, figurativnost i kori\u0161tenje knji\u017eevnih tehnika u historiji.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >Navest \u0107u jo\u0161 neke primjere iz historije\/historiografije koji ilustriraju pojedine aspekte i potencijale poststrukturalisti\u010dke dekonstrukcije. Iako bi se zbog njihova opsega to moglo o\u010dekivati, povijesne sinteze rijetko uklju\u010duju zna\u010dajnija teorijska razmatranja (barem onog tipa koji Munslow poti\u010de). Posebno je to slu\u010daj ako su namijenjene i \u0161iroj publici, pa nastoje prikriti svoju metodologiju i pozicioniranost autora\/ice te bez ikakvog oklijevanja \u201erazotkriti\u201c neki fenomen i predstaviti \u201eispravne\u201c interpretacije. Moglo bi se pretpostaviti da njegova polemika nije namijenjena samo promjeni mi\u0161ljenja etabliranih histori\u010dara\/ki, ve\u0107 prije svega razvoju novih generacija multiskepti\u010dara\/ki, s novim teorijskim okvirom bavljenja povije\u0161\u0107u. Povezano s tim, kriti\u010dko razmi\u0161ljanje klju\u010dna je vje\u0161tina koja bi se trebala razviti tijekom obrazovanja, s posebnim naglaskom na primjenu u (ne nu\u017eno profesionalno znanstvenom) bavljenju historijom ili u kontaktu s povije\u0161\u0107u u svakodnevnom \u017eivotu.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 6pt; line-height: 150%; text-indent: 26.95pt;\"><span lang=\"HR\" style=\"line-height: 150%; font-size: 12pt;\"><font >&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font  size=\"3\">  <br \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;
