Michael Martens, 1973 in Hamburg geboren, lebte von 1995 bis 2000 in St. Petersburg, Kiew und anderen St\u00e4dten Osteuropas. Seit 2002 ist er politischer Korrespondent der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung. Er verbrachte sieben Jahre in Belgrad, sechs in Istanbul, drei in Athen.
