{"id":15921,"date":"2019-08-06T13:42:59","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T13:42:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/historiografija.hr\/?p=15921"},"modified":"2019-08-06T13:47:15","modified_gmt":"2019-08-06T13:47:15","slug":"cfp-culture-of-remembrance-and-remembrance-of-culture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/historiografija.hr\/?p=15921","title":{"rendered":"CfP: Culture of Remembrance and Remembrance of Culture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">We are happy to invite you to take part in the student section of the international academic symposium &#8216;Culture of Remembrance and Remembrance of Culture&#8217;, which is to take place at Bologna University campus in Forli between November 13th and November 15th 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">The conference stands in connection with the European Remembrance project &#8216;A Game-Changing Year 1968&#8217;. The mission of the project is to commemorate the Prague Spring events as a symbol of the pursuit of the totalitarian regime&#8217;s democratization which had been suppressed by force as well as consecutive acquiescence. We attempt to dismiss national boundaries while perceiving the recent European past, thus allowing historical memory research to further proliferate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">We invite you to submit a contribution on the topics concerning the crucial milestones of European remembrance in a form of a short presentation or a poster, with the latter being the preferred modality for students and young researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">In particular, we encourage you to submit contributions linked to the presentation of yet undisclosed or unpublicized historical sources (archival documents, eye-witnesses&#8217; narratives, photos) on the European remembrance issues, as well as their short analyses\/interpretations. The event&#8217;s working language is English.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Applicants are requested to send an e-mail to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:lubor.matejko@gmail.com\">lubor.matejko@gmail.com<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">, with the following information: name, surname, affiliation, current position, title of the paper. The abstract with the word limit of 300 words is required to be attached as a separate pdf file. Deadline for abstract submission: September 20th, 2019.
