Tokom osamdesetih \u0161trajkovi su postali redovna pojava u gradovima \u0161irom zemlje. Od \u201eTrep\u010de\u201c do \u201eTAM-a\u201c, od \u201eLabina\u201c do \u201eZmaja\u201c \u2013 radnici i radnice su \u0161trajkovali zahtevaju\u0107i bolje radne i \u017eivotne uslove, a protiv mera \u0161tednje i neoliberalnog restrukturiranja Jugoslavije, koje je podr\u017eavalo i guralo pre svega politi\u010dko i ekonomsko rukovodstvo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Izlo\u017eba \u201eGradove smo vam podigli\u201c govori upravo o tome. O kontradikcijama jugoslovenskog socijalizma koje su naro\u010dito bile izra\u017eene tokom osamdesetih godina pro\u0161log veka i koje su vodile restauraciji kapitalisti\u010dkog sistema. Me\u0111utim, pomenuti dru\u0161tveni procesi nisu se odvijali pravolinijski, ni bez otpora. Radilo se o kompleksnim klasnim logikama koje su se me\u0111usobno sudarale i sukobljavale, proizvode\u0107i tako protivre\u010dne politi\u010dko-ekonomske pojave koje je nu\u017eno ponovo prou\u010diti i sagledati.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Danas su sve dr\u017eave nastale nakon razbijanja Jugoslavije nacionalisti\u010dko-kapitalisti\u010dke, a neoliberalne \u201etranzicijske\u201c agende koje sprovode lokalni re\u017eimi pogoduju isklju\u010divo logici kapitala. Vi\u0161edecenijski u\u010dinak procesa dru\u0161tvene transformacije najo\u010digledniji je i najmerljiviji u sferi rada \u2013 potpuno uni\u0161tavanje radni\u010dkih struktura i institucija demokratskog upravljanja ekonomijom, mase nezaposlenih ili slabo pla\u0107enih radnica i radnika koje strepe za sopstvenu egzistenciju na periferiji globalnog kapitalisti\u010dkog sistema. Od Vardara do Triglava veza i dalje postoji, ali ona je transformisana u putanju trgovine proma\u0161enim investicijama i jeftinom radnom snagom. U ovakvoj dru\u0161tveno-politi\u010dkoj konstelaciji interese radni\u010dke klase malo ko zastupa. Stoga je nu\u017eno odr\u017eavati perspektivu radni\u0161tva vidljivom, sagledati iskustva i gre\u0161ke iz pro\u0161losti i otvarati prostor za stvaranje druga\u010dijeg dru\u0161tva.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>U okviru izlo\u017ebe \u201eGradove smo vam podigli\u201c vra\u0107amo se na period socijalizma i njegovih protivre\u010dnosti, a kroz niz istra\u017eivanja otvaramo pitanja koja su u kompleksnom me\u0111uodnosu: od ekonomije, politike, radni\u010dkog organizovanja do slobodnog vremena, medija, kulture i umetnosti.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Na izlo\u017ebi u\u010destvuju: Bojan Mr\u0111enovi\u0107 (Zagreb), Boris Postnikov (Zagreb), Centar savremene umjetnosti Crne Gore (Podgorica), Crvena Association for Culture and Art (Sarajevo), Doplgenger (Beograd), Filip Jovanovski i Ivana Vaseva (Skoplje), grupa Borovo (Zagreb), Irena Peji\u0107 (Beograd), Iskra Krstic (Beograd), KURS (Beograd), Lidija K. During the 1980\u2019s, strikes became a regular occurrence in cities throughout the country. From \u201cTrep\u010da\u201d to \u201cTAM\u201d, from \u201cLabin\u201d to \u201cZmaj\u201d \u2013 working men and women went on strike demanding better working and living conditions, protesting against the austerity measures and the neoliberal restructuring of Yugoslavia, which was primarily supported and pushed forward by the political and economic leadership.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That is precisely what the exhibition \u201cWe Have Built Cities for You\u201d is about. It is about the contradictions of Yugoslav socialism, which were particularly manifest during the course of the 1980\u2019s, and which led to the restoration of the capitalist system. However, the above-mentioned social processes did not unfold in a linear fashion or without resistance. Complex class-related forms of logic were involved, which collided and were engaged in conflicts, thus producing contradictory political-economic phenomena that it is necessary to investigate and overview anew.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today, all the states established after the destruction of Yugoslavia are nationalist-capitalist in character, and neoliberal \u201ctransition\u201d agendas carried out by the local regimes favour solely the logic of capital. The results of a decades-long process of transformation are most evident and measurable in the sphere of work \u2013 a total destruction of the labour structures and institutions of democratic management of the economy, masses of unemployed or poorly paid working men and women who fret over their existence on the periphery of the global capitalist system. From the Vardar River to Mt Triglav, a connection still exists, but it has been transformed into the trajectory of trading in misguided investments and a cheap labour force. In such a socio-political constellation, few actors represent the interests of workers. That is why it is necessary to maintain the visibility of workers\u2019 perspective, review the experiences from the past and open up space for creating a different society.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the exhibition \u201cWe Have Built Cities for You\u201d, we return to the period of socialism and its contradictions, and through a number of researches we raise issues that are inter-related in a complex manner: from the economy, politics and workers\u2019 self-management to leisure-time pursuits, the media, culture and art.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition participants include: Bojan Mr\u0111enovi\u0107 (Zagreb), Boris Postnikov (Zagreb), Contemporary Art Center of Montenegro (Podgorica), Crvena (Sarajevo), Doplgenger (Belgrade), Filip Jovanovski and Ivana Vaseva (Skoplje), the group Borovo (Zagreb), Irena Peji\u0107 (Belgrade), Iskra Krsti\u0107 (Belgrade), Kurs (Belgrade), Lidija K.
