Predstavljen je projekt nove sinteze povijesti Rijeke, trogodišnji projekt koji će na interdisciplinarni način prikazati povijesni razvoj Rijeke i njezinog urbanog identiteta te rezultirati novom knjigom o povijesti grada. Projekt će, uključujući ne samo povjesničare već i kulturne djelatnike te stručnjake iz drugih područja, prikazati razvoj industrije i ekonomije grada, ali uravnoteženo identificirati i ostale elemente urbanog identiteta koji su širi od gospodarstva i industrije.
